CHAIR KITO  announced that the  final order of business  would be                                                               
HOUSE BILL  NO. 350, "An Act  relating to certain fees  for using                                                               
an automated teller machine."

CAROLINE  HAMP, Staff,  Representative  Dan  Ortiz, Alaska  State                                                               
Legislature,  reintroduced HB  350  on  behalf of  Representative                                                               
Ortiz, prime sponsor.   She stated the proposed  bill would allow                                                               
individually-owned  ATMs to  charge a  fee on  international card                                                               
users.    She  added  it   would  not  affect  fees  to  domestic                                                               
cardholders  or bank-owned  ATMs.   She  informed that  currently                                                               
individually-owned  ATMs cannot  charge  a  fee to  international                                                               
cards and  given the  high volume  of international  travelers to                                                               
the state, closing the gap would  allow income from those ATMs to                                                               
be collected from international tourists.

CHAIR KITO  closed public testimony  on HB 350  upon ascertaining

individual  recommendations and  the  accompanying fiscal  notes.
